Unsigned application
The beta builds are not code-signed yet, so macOS and Windows show a security warning the first time you open WorshipBeam. The app is not damaged. Signing needs a paid certificate for each system, and it is planned for a later version. Until then, this is how to open it.
macOS
- Open the downloaded
.dmgand drag WorshipBeam into Applications. - Open WorshipBeam from Applications. macOS says it cannot verify the app. Click Done.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the Security section, and click Open Anyway next to WorshipBeam. Confirm with your password.
- On macOS 14 and earlier, you can instead Control-click (right-click) WorshipBeam in Applications, choose Open, and then Open again.
Windows
- Run the downloaded installer. SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC.
- Click More info, then Run anyway.
After the first time, WorshipBeam opens like any other app.
Updates
WorshipBeam looks at this site once a day, and tells you in Settings when a newer version is out. You download and install it yourself, as you did the first time. Your songs, events, themes and settings are kept. You can turn the check off in Settings.
